The role

As a Recruiter, Operations at FreshDirect, you’ll own full-cycle recruiting for our plant and transportation teams—the core of our business. You’ll partner with Hiring Managers and HR to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent, driving high-volume staffing and building pipelines to meet ambitious operational goals.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for full cycle recruitment process for hourly hiring for warehouse and transportation positions
• Partner with hiring managers to keep organized record of applicant status, as well as provide guidance on job descriptions and posting locations.
• Prescreen candidates, review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
• Present prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval
• Act as a point person for the Freshdirect recruitment team
• Strong knowledge of recruiting avenues for active and passive candidate recruiting-including cold calling candidates, job site awareness, and contacts within college and job fair networks.
• Post openings in online job boards, newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, other position appropriate venues to post positions to appropriate sources
• Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
• Manage and respond in a timely manner to day by day occurrences

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related business studies and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in recruiting for of mass hiring and/or Corporate/Agency recruiting.
• Experience in recruiting for Retail / Transportation/ warehouse is preferred
• Experience in a fast paced Human Resources environment is preferred
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Willingness to take the lead, leadership courage.
• Working knowledge and industry knowledge related to assigned departments.
• Excellent interviewing and active listening skills.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting based websites, applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and creative sourcing techniques.
• Ability to communicate with executives and employees within all levels of the organization. 
• Capacity to prioritize work and address time sensitive matters.
• Working knowledge of employment laws. Knowledge of FreshDirect's benefits and compensation structure and programs.
• Critical thinking skills
• Bilingual Spanish/ English Preferred
