Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as a Procurement Analyst!

 

The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Procurement Analyst who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, initiatives that you will be tasked with will include vendor consolidation, strengthening supply base, cost analysis, and key CR activities. A large part of this role will be project-based analytical work that will help to accomplish our goal of becoming an assembly-focused organization. while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Generate purchase orders and forecasts for most critical commodities and suppliers.
  • Initiate new outsourcing initiatives imperative to refining company's core competencies.
  • Plan and execute supply chain optimization projects, commodity strategy and synergy activity.
  • Create competitive advantage through material and process cost analysis, effective negotiations, and contract management.
  • Attend and contribute to daily leadership meetings.
  • Establish close working relationships with other business functions such as supplier quality, engineering, and operations
  • Check in with Supply Chain Manager on strategic initiatives.
  • Engage in conference calls and meetings with external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in 6 other locations in the US
  • Implement and manage methods to track key supplier metrics for scoring purposes

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or working towards degree) in related field
  • Experience in a procurement/supply chain role preferred
  • Proficient Computer skills - using Microsoft Office
  • Contract and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

  • Moderate Computer skills - using Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to visualize data & track key supplier metrics for scoring purposes.
  • Technical experience and troubleshooting capability

 

 Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
  • Occasional travel to supplier locations for audit purposes (Less than 20%)

 

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like:

 

Wage - $57,250 - $73,395
