Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), where you'll help individuals achieve their goals and thrive in their communities. DSP's provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure a safe, supportive environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, medication administration, transportation, and documentation of progress.

DSP Schedule, Location, Pay:

• Monday 10pm-8am
• Tuesday  10pm-8am
• Wednesday  10pm-8am
• Thursday  10pm-8am

Location: Edina, MN

Rate of Pay: $17/hour Asleep Rate, $26/hour Awake Rate

Requirements

What You Bring as a DSP: Only candidates who meet the rate exception qualification will be contacted to interview

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 year's of relevant work experience
• CNA or LPN strongly preferred
• Experience working with individuals who are high medical needs and rely on staff for most cares including daily personal cares and feminine hygiene 
• Ability to meet with the DC and guardian for in-person interview process
• Experience with manual transfers and safety precautions 
• Driver's License, car insurance, reliable vehicle for work purposes 
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by the company
• Ability to meet licensing requirements of the state and county 
• Lifting/transferring requirements vary based on assigned caseload. Ability to lift 75 pounds and transfer individuals as needed 
• May be exposed to animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, pet rodents, birds or pet reptiles
