Seasonal Supervisor- East Dock presso 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC

Position Summary:

This position must handle multiple assignments in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment with frequent direct interaction with senior management. The Seasonal Supervisor is responsible for closely monitoring the picking functions within the Distribution Center. Working closely with other leadership and staff, this position manages WMS functions including picking, replenishment, and put-away activities, and will assist with some inventory functions as they relate to picking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train, coach, and develop the warehouse team in picking and replenishment functions

• Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews

• Implement and uphold productivity, quality, and customer-service standards

• Resolve operational problems and identify opportunities for improvement

• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments

• Audit order assembly and shipping picks for accuracy

• Organize and maintain staging areas for outbound goods

• Physically check inventory to support business partner requests

• Document corrective actions and communicate results to business partners

• Communicate inventory-related issues with team members and stakeholders

• Identify gaps in inventory control and recommend improvements

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with planning and executing semi-annual physical inventory

• Comply with and support all health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a shipping, assembly, or warehouse environment

• Previous forklift experience required

• Knowledge of SAP/Oracle preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Independent Action:

Responsible for follow-ups and auditing general warehouse employees performing picking functions.

Special Requirements:

Travel as needed to support Harry & David and Enterprise-related events and projects.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as required

• Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours a day
