Job Summary
Provides excellent customer service, maintains pricing, stocking, and rotation of products in the wine and beer area and performs point-of-sale and receiving functions.
Responsibilities
- Provides customers with prompt and courteous service or assistance.
- Assists in receiving and unloading of merchandise; verifies that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered; checks products for quality, count, and condition.
- Stocks shelves and displays and keeps them clean, full and properly rotated at all times; creates displays as necessary.
- Opens cartons and prices items accurately
- Breakdown cheese in house and package, label, and display
- Create cheese dips and package, label, and display
- Package, label, and display assorted charcuterie pairings
- Informs management of pricing problems or discrepancies.
- Assists in ordering and maintaining inventory control.
- Handles damaged products according to company policy and assist in controlling shrink.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment.
- Participates in tastings, events, or job-related activities beyond regularly scheduled hours.
- Assists with inventory.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Works in a non-smoking environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.

Requirements
Education And Experience
- High school education or equivalent required
- 2 years experience in wine and beer operations preferred
- 2 years in a retail environment preferred
