We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist with strong ADP knowledge to join our People & Capability team and help us deliver accurate and efficient payroll services for our employees.

About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for processing and balancing payroll for RAC employees, while also supporting the Payroll Manager in improving payroll processes, reporting, and audit responses. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll outcomes, while building strong relationships across the business.

This roles is available on a Full Time, 12month Contract basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with payroll processing and providing expertise in ADP payroll systems.
  • Supporting payroll process improvements, reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Managing payroll administration, including payments and deductions (e.g., PAYG, payroll tax, workers compensation, child support, Centrelink).
  • Reconciling transactions back to financial reporting.
  • Preparing reports and documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting colleagues by sharing payroll knowledge and skills.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated payroll experience within a medium-sized organisation.
  • Knowledge and experience with ADP (or Workday) payroll systems (desirable).
  • Experience responding to payroll audit requests and reporting requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate outcomes under time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
