Job Description:

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking an Advisor, Events to support the planning and delivery of high-quality domestic and international events that elevate our mission and engage key partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing event briefs, timelines, run sheets, and tracking deliverables

  • Researching and evaluating venues, suppliers, and partners; managing quotes and recommendations within budget

  • Coordinating logistics, including venue, catering, equipment, and travel bookings

  • Managing invitations, RSVPs, and stakeholder/guest lists

  • Supporting program content, including speaker notes and guest bios

  • Assisting with event setup, delivery, and pack-down

  • Supporting finance processes (vendor onboarding, POs, receipting)

  • Providing admin support including calendar management, travel, minutes, and project coordination

  • Contributing to internal communications and events that engage staff and reflect our values

  • Adjusting hours as needed to support events across international time zones

Qualifications:

About You

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing events across diverse venues and adapting to varied working styles.

You will also bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or 3+ years’ experience in event management and communications within complex environments

  • Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Experience managing Teams meetings, including backend functions and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with Campaign Monitor, Typeform, and Slido

  • Confidence with basic AV equipment and ensuring smooth Teams integration for virtual events
