Evapco is currently hiring a Production Programmer (Laser/NC) to join our team at our World Headquarters in Taneytown, MD.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Ability to program using the Merry Mechanization and SigmaNest nesting and tooling software.
- Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and production expectations.
- Focus on adhering to the production Timeline with superior Timeline discipline.
- Meet or exceed the 15% scrap rate.
- Create nests that minimize the amount of tooling needed to complete the program.
- Make changes to part programs when needed to meet the highest level of efficiency, or when requested by the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area on a daily basis.
- Assist in other areas of the plant/office if requested.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
- SigmaNest NC punch and Laser Programming experience preferred.
- Ability to read and decipher Evapco part prints and assembly drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- MasterCam CNC Programming experience, a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in programming, a plus.
- Prior experience working as laser and/or NC operator, a plus.
- Solid Edge or AutoCAD experience, a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment: mainly office work behind a computer but also includes shop visits for certain tasks.
- Programming will be done in an office environment with prolonged amounts of sitting.
- Lifting of 50 lbs. or less
- Wear PPE when required – Manufacturing Areas
- Day shift Monday through Friday, and overtime hours if needed to meet production timeline deadlines.
