Title: Food Program Manager (Social Services)

Location: Kirkland; regularly commutes to All Hopelink Food Markets including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Shoreline and Carnation (with Bellevue, Shoreline & Carnation as primary)

Work schedule: Full Time, 40 hours a week, with some evening and periodic weekend availability. Occasionally, up to 2 weekday evenings per week (until 7:30pm.)

The career opportunity: 

Hopelink provides food assistance to mitigate hunger and support basic food security for low-income households in North and East King County. Hopelink aspires to be a leader in addressing issues of hunger by providing direct and impactful food services for members of our community who need food assistance, as well as by collaborating with other food providers in our service area to ensure the best possible benefit to clients and the communities we serve.

Working on the Food Management Team, the Food Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing Hopelink’s vision for its Food Program.

The Food Program Manager is a key player in shaping and implementing Hopelink’s vision for making food easily accessible throughout our locations in North and East King County.  The Food Program Manager helps develop and create sustainable methods of supply and delivery of healthy food, as well as implement best practices for food support to our community. This position will also ensure consistency among our direct distribution sites, monitor progress toward well-defined goals, provide training and supervision of staff and volunteers, and oversee food purchases.

• Valid WA driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.  May occasionally drive a Hopelink vehicle so proof of a clean driving record is required

Examples of what you will be doing:

• Fully responsible for the operations of the Hopelink food system including our 5 food markets, mobile food market and harvest program
• Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate Food Program Supervisors
• Implement consistent, high-quality operations across all programs
• Develop, implement and train on policies and procedures
• Responsible for the highest level of customer service in all Food Program initiatives, ensuring that all services provided by volunteers and staff are executed in accordance with Hopelink’s trauma informed approach.
• Build strong working relationships and partnerships with internal teams, other hunger relief agencies and networks.
• Communicate Hopelink’s mission and food program vision to other agencies, audiences, partners, and throughout the community.
• Maintain fiscal and contractual compliance with grants and other funding sources; monitor subcontractor agencies.

How you will be compensated: Hopelink is proud to provide meaningful paid time away from work and an affordable, comprehensive benefits package.

• Compensation: $30.60/hour 

• Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays, 
• Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
