At Lineage, helping to feed the world is more than just a job – it’s a purpose.
As the world’s largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics, we work with some of the biggest names in the food industry to keep shelves stocked and supply chains moving.
Right now, we’re looking for a highly motivated Operations Support Manager to join our team in Holmewood – a key leadership role with additional responsibility for our Stock Office (Inventory Control team).
The Role
As an Operations Support Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the daily running of the depot while leading the Stock Office team to ensure high standards of inventory accuracy, customer service, and process efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll collaborate closely with teams across operations, transport, quality, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and develop a team of administrative and inventory control staff, ensuring performance, productivity, and adherence to processes.
Lead and supervise our small hygiene team to ensure site standards are maintained and all hygiene sign offs have been complete.
Oversee Stock Office operations, including inventory accuracy, product recalls, and WMS (Warehouse Management System) data integrity.
Develop and maintain robust inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and reduce write-offs or damaged stock.
Collaborate with the Operational teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and improve stock handling processes.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of reports and KPI tracking across the site.
Prepare for and support both internal and external audits.
Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on operational and inventory matters.
Support depot productivity through effective communication, data accuracy, and workflow enhancements.
Manage document control and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
Participate in process improvement initiatives across operations and inventory functions.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in an operations support, inventory control, or warehouse leadership role.
Experience managing or supporting Stock Office/Inventory teams in a logistics, warehousing, or distribution environment.
Working knowledge of WMS systems and MS Office (particularly Excel).
Strong leadership skills – able to motivate, manage, and develop teams.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to support different shifts and weekend operations where needed.
Comfortable working in a cold storage environment (PPE provided).
