As an Associate Risk Solutions Representative, you - ll manage and administer Risk Solutions Programs with the guidance of Risk Leadership: Work Injury Benefit Plan, Return-to-Work Benefit Plan, Premises and Products Liability Program, and Loss Prevention Litigation. You - ll handle claims and conducts litigation management. Facilitate safety initiatives with assigned stores / locations within OSHA regulations.

We are looking for:
Bachelor - s degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
0+ years related experience
0-2 years claims handling experience (case management involving medical, vocational, subrogation / recovery, return to work program, etc.)
Valid Texas driver license, no DUI, and no more than 2 moving violations in last 2 years
What is the work?
Reviews and codes new claims; makes contact with partner within 24 hours from report of injury, opens files and set reserves according to department SOP
Reviews reports, makes initial contact with partner, determines eligibility for benefits on work injuries, and administers all benefits due in accordance with the with the provisions of the Work Injury Benefit Plan, including coordination of the Return to Work (RTW) Program
Reviews reports, verifies coded fields, makes initial contact, attempts first call settlement for general liability.
Conducts investigation and research on property damage cases and other third-party cases as assigned
Facilitates subrogation / recovery efforts from third parties responsible
Coordinates litigation case management to ensure cost containment; attend mediations, depositions and trials when needed, reports on trial to management, ensures clear and concise communication between defense attorney and management
Reviews and approves payments on all cases within assigned authority.
Monitors open claims via diary to ensure regular updates and contacts with Partners, customers, and vendors
Ensures adequate reserving, communication, and resolution on attorney-represented or litigated cases
Negotiates and diffuses claims with third parties and plaintiff Attorneys
Responds to serious incidents
Assists attorney with investigation of serious events
Attends appointments with Partners on complex Work Injury cases
Creates, runs, analyzes, and communicates incident trends reports for Operations Leadership
Instills a safety culture by training safety champions and Operations Leadership Partners on proper incident reporting and safety awareness training
Communicates with clinics and providers and monitors treatment for compliance with Work Injury Benefit Plan, and manages the network of Work Injury Benefit Plan providers
Participates with HR and Operations Leadership in the interactive process and ensures compliance with the Work Injury Benefit Plan

Obtain an All-Lines Claim Adjuster License through the Texas Dept. of Insurance within 90 days in position
Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
Moderate PC skills, including Microsoft Office Software and a Claims Management System
Some working knowledge of PPO utilization, communication with medical providers, etc.
Attends OSHA 10-hour certification, CE classes, and stays up to date on all state-required certification as well as HEB SOPs
