The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Manager is responsible for the administration, support and optimization of the organization’s Human Resource Information Systems. The role oversees system configuration, data integrity, reporting, and end-user training to ensure HR technology aligns with business goals.

Key Job Elements

• Serve as the point of contact for all HR systems.
• Provide technical guidance to HR team, managers and employees on HRIS functionality.
• Partner with IT, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits to integrate systems and optimize cross-functional processes.
• Lead configuration, implementation and ongoing maintenance of HRIS platforms.
• Ensure system data integrity, accuracy and compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Manage system security roles, workflows and permissions.
• Develop, maintain and deliver reporting for HR metrics, compliance and analytics to support the decision-making processes.
• Lead and manage the HRIS team.
• Monitor HR technology trends for innovation and technology strategy to enhance systems capabilities and deliverables.
• Document system processes to create standard operating procedures and best practice standards.
• Manage vendor relations and serve as the point of contact for HR systems.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in HRIS administration and HR leadership roles.
• Hands on experience with a major HRIS platform. Oracle, PeopleSoft, Kenexa preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels.
• Sound judgement and confidentiality.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical skills required.
• HR Certification preferred.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and walking. Heavy lifting is rare but may be required.
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with office communications. May require bending, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. in cases where Safety investigations require them.
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing.
• Work Environment – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility. Travel may be required 5% of the time.
• Emotional Demands – Responsible for audits and reporting of protected and private information. Requires interpersonal skills and communication that may be of a sensitive nature.
• Safety – Position is Safety Sensitive and will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment when in industrial environments. Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+ decibels), exposure to cold and temperature changes, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy equipment, high levels of dust, and other hazardous working conditions. May be required to remain for long periods of time in hazardous work environments to investigate and mitigate accidents/incidents.
