ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

- Basic knowledge of Workers’ Compensation policy coverage. Understanding of different policy structures; guaranteed cost, loss sensitive, small deductibles with a conceptual understanding of captives and self-insureds.
- Strong logical/analytical skills, with keen interest in identifying data errors and trends. Uses these skills to audit experience modsheets and complete basic modifier analysis reports.
- Basic working knowledge of Compensation Rating Bureaus rules and workers’ compensation regulatory nature.
- Willingness to learn unique application of work. comp. laws, filed rules or state regulations. Knowledgeable in use of Reference Connect resource.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to learn Modmaster Software and utilize it to complete analytical projections for service teams/clients.
- Ongoing support to Workers’ Compensation Specialist with reports, special projects, projections, research and miscellaneous assignments.
- Responds regularly to internal staff inquiries, at request of Specialist Lead.
- Basic knowledge of ownership forms, rules and filings.
- Maintains current agent’s license in good standing and completes required annual CE courses/credits.
- Interest in gaining more in-depth knowledge in all aspects of Workers’ Compensation in order to serve our internal and external clients.
- Demonstrates familiarity with and understanding of carrier loss documents
- Willing to learn and assist Lead Specialist in Completing Deductible Cost/Benefit Analysis
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:
- Preferred: five or more years of experience in placement and marketing of Workers’ Compensation products
- Required: Familiar with Experience Modification Factor and rating sheet formats
- Required: strong analytic/problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Required: strong communication/presentation skills
- Required: ability to work collaboratively with local service teams
- Preferred: ability to travel
- Preferred: familiarity with Modmaster software program for experience modification factor analytics
- Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft programs to develop Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and effective Word documents
