About the Department
Supervise the employees performing the processing and tracking of purchase requisitions and other purchasing documents.
Position Duties

Coordinate the processing of requisitions and other purchasing documents through required review and approval process, according to Borough policies and procedures.
Responsible for the requisition processing by tracking the course and deadlines of purchasing documents; establishes and maintains files related to purchase orders and purchasing issues to include receiving reports.
Researches vendor information and acquires price quotes; contacts clients and vendors to clarify requests and background information; verifies information and resolves issues as needed.
Updates and tracks a variety of electronic and paper files, records, reports, and related documents; maintains file integrity and confidentiality by adhering to department policies and procedures; assures the accuracy of the electronic and paper filing systems.
Coordinate the entry of requisition information and other data into computer system; accesses and locate information for customers, staff, authorized agencies and others.
Performs administrative and clerical duties in accordance with standard office procedures and Borough policy; responds to requests for information within the span of authority.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of purchasing and requisition processes.
Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the basic principles of record keeping, case files and records management.
Skill in utilizing personal computers and a variety of software applications.
Other Qualifications
High school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
Two years of clerical work experience;
Two years of supervisory experience;
Ability to obtain valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria within probationary period.
