About the Department

The Department of Marketing invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing, with preference given to those with teaching and research interests in services marketing and management, customer experience, and service innovation & technologies. The start date is August 2026. This position is a full-time, tenure-track with renewable 9-month appointments.

Position Duties

  • Teaching/developing undergraduate and/or graduate-level marketing courses, primarily in areas of services marketing and management, customer experience, and service innovation & technologies
  • Demonstrate sufficient professional activity to maintain AACSB faculty qualifications
  • Service to department, college, university, profession, and community

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university or in a related discipline earned by date of appointment.


Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Teaching and research interest in the areas of services marketing and management, customer experience, and service innovation & technologies. 
  • Research focuses on the future of services and digital transformation, particularly the role of artificial intelligence, digital platforms, robotics, and emerging technologies in transforming service design, delivery, co-creation, and customer relationships
  • Publications accepted in high quality journals
  • Strong potential to contribute to Department of Marketing programs, as well as the missions of the Schmidthorst College of Business and Bowling Green State University
