American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works. The Executive team is seeking a new Executive Support Specialist to provide high-level administrative support to the APWA CEO and executive team.
About the Role:
The Executive Support Specialist provides high-level administrative support to the CEO, COO, and executive team. This role assists as a central point of coordination for executive scheduling, communications, travel, committee support, and organizational recordkeeping. Well-qualified candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Associate’s degree (business, communications, or a related field preferred), or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing administrative support, preferably at the executive level.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Experience in an association or nonprofit environment preferred.
