What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers 💪📁)
✅ Lead the end-to-end accounts payable process for our managed communities (MCs), ensuring timely, accurate vendor payments
✅ Onboard new vendors, verify W9s, and ensure compliance with OIG exclusion lists
✅ Supervise an off-shore AP team and provide training/coaching to ensure service excellence
✅ Manage vendor inquiries, AP mailboxes, and support resolution of invoice discrepancies
✅ Own the document portal process—assign vendor IDs, GL codes, and obtain approvals
✅ Maintain tight month-end close timelines and ensure check registers, ACH, and manual payments are fully reconciled
✅ Serve as the AP department’s primary customer service point of contact
✅ Manage 1099 processing, assist with transitions for new/cancelled vendor contracts, and support service restorations when needed
✅ Drive paperless payment processes and monitor daily import files for exceptions or mapping issues
✅ Provide process documentation, training guides, and updates to improve the purchase-to-pay cycle
What You Bring to the Table (Besides Focus & Follow-Through 📌📈)
✔ 3–5 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience (or equivalent education/experience)
✔ Prior exposure to accounting departments, vendor onboarding, 1099 issuance, and invoice troubleshooting
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software platforms
✔ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data environments
✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills
✔ A calm and methodical approach to juggling multiple inboxes and urgent vendor needs
✔ Initiative to improve processes, document workflows, and support ongoing training
✔ A genuine desire to support community-based care through financial clarity and control
