Kelberman’s counseling and psychotherapeutic services are designed to support individuals who have a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Autism or an Intellectual/ Developmental Disability, as well as their families. The Licensed Therapist at Kelberman supports individuals and families in the developmental disability community, who also present with social-emotional and/or behavioral needs. The Licensed Therapist engages in evidence-based assessment and treatment strategies with a caseload of individuals, groups, and/or families, as well as collaborates with team members on best practices and ongoing care. Opportunities exist to provide behavioral intervention support and training to staff and other people Kelberman supports across multiple programs, in addition to partaking in community trainings and information sessions. 

-Active NYS License as LMSW or LMHC

· Minimum 3-5 years experience working with individuals with autism and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

· Must have a valid New York State Driver’s License, as some travel is required.

· This position must comply with OPWDD regulatory standards and training requirements.

· This position does have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) and in coordination with the regulations of the NYS Justice Center.
