Oversight of engineering projects and support of line developments, ensures support of production processes.
- Leads all plant welding projects e.g. new tooling developments according to welding requirements and customer specifications
- Analyzes customer part drawings for welding requirements
- Plans, coordinates and monitors production of prototypes
- Coordinates and defines standard welding accessories.
- Further develops welding standards and best practices.
- Monitors weld quality and supports production in troubleshooting weld issues applying root cause analysis tools and methodologies
- Drives continuous improvement activities and initiatives
- Acts as primary training source for welding support personnel.
- Maintains reporting documents for welding operations in the plant while adhering to global/regional standards
- Experience with ABB / Yaskawa welding robots preferred
- Enforces and follows safety procedures, being attentive to unsafe behaviors or conditions, and taking necessary corrective actions
- Provides support to all activities assigned by the Engineering Manager
Project lead in continuous improvement and initiatives with regards to welding techniques.
