Congressional Country Club is seeking motivated Golf Course & Grounds Interns for the 2026 season. This will be another exciting year as we continue preparing the Club to host future major championships, while also delivering an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
Interns will gain hands-on, practical experience at one of the most storied clubs in the country, working directly in golf course maintenance and operations. In addition to championship preparation, fall 2025 marks the groundbreaking of our new state-of-the-art maintenance facility and staff housing complex, making this an especially exciting time to join our team.

Looking ahead, we are set to host five more major PGA of America championships over the next decade, including the 2030 PGA Championship and the 2037 Ryder Cup.
Internship Experience
Interns will assist with the daily maintenance of both the Blue and Gold Courses, working alongside our Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents. Key learning opportunities include:
Fertilizer/pesticide calibration and application practices
Golf course setup and tournament preparation
Irrigation repair and water management on USGA and push-up greens
Turf disease identification and monitoring
Equipment maintenance exposure
Clubhouse horticulture and grounds operations
Congressional prides itself on creating a positive and educational internship tailored to various skill levels.
Ideal Candidates
Enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a 2- or 4-year turfgrass program
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions independently
Ability to visually assess course and grounds conditions
Valid driver's license
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $19.00/hour + overtime opportunities
Seasonal Availability:
Winter 2025–2026
March–October 2026
Summer 2026 (May–August)
