Position Overview:
The Financial Systems & Data Analyst is a key driver in our mission to modernize, automate, and scale our financial and grant reporting processes. This role blends data analytics, systems integration, and process improvement to ensure our teams have the tools, insights, and workflows they need to make confident, timely decisions.
You will design and maintain Power BI dashboards that track budgets, deadlines, and program outcomes, automate time-consuming reporting processes, and integrate multiple systems so data flows seamlessly across the organization. You will also explore emerging AI capabilities to identify practical ways to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and insight across our finance and grants operations.
In addition, this position provides direct, hands-on support for multiple contractually required federal and state grant reports throughout the year. These reports demand advanced data mining, clarification, and analysis to ensure compliance and to help programs meet key performance metrics. You will work across platforms such as EHR, Power BI, Excel, Visualizations, and grant-specific systems, identifying the origin of data discrepancies and developing solutions so reports reliably reflect the scope and impact of our services. Examples of these high-impact reports include HRSA UDS, IHS GPRA, and CareOregon PCPM.
This is a builder’s role — ideal for someone who sees an outdated, manual process and can’t resist finding a better, faster, smarter way to do it.
What you will do:
Data Visualization & Reporting

• Prepare and present data reports to leadership and relevant teams, ensuring clarity and relevance for decision-making.
• Integrate data from multiple systems to create centralized, easy-to-use tools for staff.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems.
• Provide expert-level support for high-effort, compliance-critical grant reports, including HRSA UDS, IHS GPRA, and CareOregon PCPM.
Workflow Automation & Process Improvement
• Develop and maintain internal tools to improve workflow efficiency, using Power BI, Smartsheet, and other Microsoft Suite tools.
• Automate invoicing workflows to strengthen cash flow and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with program and administrative teams to identify workflow challenges, then design and implement scalable solutions.
• Document and refine processes to improve scalability and sustainability.
Training & Support
• Provide ongoing training and support to staff on internal tools, dashboards and grant reporting platforms.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-technical users.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
• Research, pilot, and recommend AI and automation tools that improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in data analytics, automation, and business intelligence.
• Works collaboratively, and maintains professional boundaries with clients, other NARA staff, team members, and treats everyone with respect and dignity at all times.
