We are looking for people of all ages, male and female to join our Care at Home Team (Alert).  The posts on offer are 30 hours nightshift peripatetic (3 posts) and Hamilton 30 hours (day shift and back shift in accordance with a roster)

The grade for these posts is Grade 2 level 3 - £17.72 to £20.53 per hour. As this is a shift working post, you will receive an additional 1, 2 or 4 increment (depending on your shift pattern) and this will be consolidated into your salary. This role will require flexible evening and weekend working. For all shifts, the morning shift can start between 7am and 8am, and backshift can end between 9pm and 11pm.  The night shift posts can start between 9pm and 10pm and end between 6am and 8am.

Requirements

You must have SVQ Level 2 in Social Care, or equivalent, to fully meet SSSC registration requirements of the post. You must provide proof of your qualifications when applying for this post as part of your application.

You must have a current valid driving licence.

You will be required to demonstrate your ability to work at SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum standard and be willing to work towards achieving this qualification if you do not already hold this qualification/equivalent or greater.

You will be required to work in accordance with a roster shift pattern.

Hours: Various hours available

Salary: £17.72 to £20.53 per hour dependent on shift pattern

    • Describe the situation, what happened, and what were the risks to the person

    • Describe how you used your skills to assess and manage these risks.

    • Tell us what actions you took, who you contacted, and what the overall outcome was for the service user.

       

  • Give an example of a situation that shows your understanding of what is important to the people you support. 

    • Describe what happened, what were the risks or challenges for them

    • How did you balance meeting their care needs with ensuring their safety?

    • What was the outcome?

       

  • Tell us about a time when you identified risks for a service user in their home. 

    • Describe what happened, what concerned you and why.

    • How did you use your skills to assess and mitigate the risks?

    • What actions did you take?

    • What was the overall outcome for the service user?
