Position Description
Employees in this classification are responsible for the performance of manual work involving the cleaning and care of buildings. Work is performed under supervision according to established procedures and methods, and is checked frequently and evaluated for the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Major/Essential Functions
- Cleans, sanitize restrooms, disposes of trash from offices, lab, common/class rooms and wipes furniture
- Cleans glass windows and doors
- Removes biohazard waste containers when scheduled
- Clean and maintains equipment in good working order
- Clean floors, baseboards, corners, strips and waxes floors as needed
- Coordinates and assists with the coordination of cleaning work areas with construction staff
- Responds to emergency calls to correct or remediate the problem
- Must have and maintain valid State of Teas driver's license and be listed as an approved driver as determined by Risk Management and insurance carrier
- Must be able to pass the employee criminal background check
- Actively participate and complete training, personal development and continuing education
- Dust, wet mop floor, vacuum, shampoo carpet in assigned areas. Burnishes floor in assigned areas
- Responsible for keeping all work areas and equipment clean
- Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes
- Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution
