Summary: Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment throughout the facility. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems and perform welding to build parts from blueprints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations.
· Have a basic understanding of machining parameters and tool selection for a variety of materials including, but not limited to, aluminum, low carbon steel, tool steel, stainless steel, Inconel and a variety of polymers.
· Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operation needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.?
· Must have the ability to weld and build parts from a blueprint.?
· Make design change suggestions based on an understanding of the limitations of the machining equipment.
· Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments.
· Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.?
· Review Drawing packages and Create list of the required material and supplies
· Perform basic preventative maintenance work on shop equipment as assigned.
· Looks and inspects parts for wear that need to be scheduled for down time repair.
· Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics.
· Troubleshoot three (3) phase and single-phase motors.
· Run conduit and pull wire.
· Troubleshoot hydraulic systems using schematics.
· Replace and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, pumps and valves.
· Work effectively with limited supervision.
· Communicate and perform effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education/Experience
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum 2 years' experience in a general maintenance/handyman position.
