JOB TITLE: Stockroom Supervisor (CVG Part 121)

LOCATION: Erlanger, KY - CVG
SHIFT: Full Time - 1st Shift
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Administration of incoming and outgoing freight transactions, accurately completing Kalitta Air receiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Verifying quantities, parts numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, batch numbers and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments. Completing Kalitta Air shipping/receiving documents by following procedures IAW the Kalitta Air GMM.
- Select appropriate air carriers based on delivery requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments, while utilizing knowledge of common carrier terminology to maintain accuracy in freight documentation
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and offsite stockrooms to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
- Prepare and package materials, including Dangerous Goods, for shipment in compliance with company procedures and applicable safety regulations.
- Separate delivery and pick-up shipments for various departments to ensure accurate and efficient distribution.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by properly completing company documents to record the receipt and issuance of company-owned and customer-furnished materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintaining a secure warehouse environment for company owned material to ensure accountability of assets.
- Ensure proper segregation of serviceable and unserviceable parts and materials to maintain inventory integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure receiving inspections are performed on all incoming parts and materials to verify compliance with quality and specification standards.
- Proficient in current computer systems, ensuring accurate data entry in accordance with established procedures.
- Familiar with common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Monitor and ensure that assigned personnel complete all required and overdue training on schedule.
- Manage work schedules and duties of all stockroom staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Materials Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a high school diploma and requires one to hold a valid drivers’ license. HAZMAT training is preferred, and Forklift truck experience is required. Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient communication skills are a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create / write routine reports and correspondence.
