About the role
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining automated packaging equipment, including the Wexxar Case Erector, Taper, and Auto Palletizer. You’ll monitor product flow, ensure equipment is functioning properly, manage packaging supplies, and help meet quality and safety standards throughout the shift. This role is vital to keeping the packaging line running smoothly and efficiently.

Statement of Job
Operate and maintain case erector, taper, and auto palletizing systems in the packaging department. The Packaging Operator is responsible for the Wexxar Case Erector, Taper, and Auto Palletizer to ensure production and packaging efficiency and safety.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and monitor equipment per supervisor direction to meet company standards
Ensure shift meets quality, production, sanitation, and safety targets
Set up, start, reset, and shut down packaging equipment
Coordinate with team members and perform varying tasks as needed
Operate electric pallet jack to move materials as required
Maintain consistent supply of packaging materials (cases, tape, pallets, slip-sheets)
Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues; escalate to maintenance as needed
Perform SAP and Infinity Data System entries for production tracking
Accurately complete production and equipment reports
Maintain product flow and ensure proper palletizing supply levels
Participate in factory clean-ups and follow safety procedures at all times
Complete all other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Department Manager
Special Requirements
High mental focus and ability to work independently
Strong verbal communication across all levels of operations
Physical effort required including standing, lifting, and crouching for extended periods
Great care required to prevent injury or damage to equipment
Certification required to operate an electric pallet jack
Must possess basic computer skills
