We're Hiring: Controls Engineer – Siemens PLC Expert
Location: Simpsonville, KY
Plant: Forvia Seating Division
Are you passionate about automation and control systems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have hands-on experience with Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal? If so, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
As a Controls Engineer, you’ll play a key role in optimizing and maintaining our control systems to ensure smooth plant operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain, test, and modify Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC and electrical issues
• Lead new project implementations and support line balancing, PFMEAs, and control plan updates
• Train maintenance teams on PLCs and specialty equipment
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technical support teams
• Write and update PLC programs and test procedures
• Represent Forvia in interactions with external equipment and service providers
Your profile and competencies to succeed
What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, and WinCC
• Experience in project management and production system efficiency
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
