About the Role
We are seeking a team-focused Senior Accountant to join our team. This mid-level position is perfect for candidates with the ability to provide support to the CFO / Controller, in carrying out the responsibilities of the Company’s accounting and financial functions, across all divisions of IGS Industries.

What You’ll Do
- Works as a team with the company President, Controller, Accounting Clerk, and Human Resource Manager and Collections Specialist.
- Administer the accounts’ payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of authorized payments and expenditures, in coordination with the Accounting Clerk.
- Administer the accounts’ receivable function, ensuring the accurate and timely management of all receivables and incoming payments, in coordination with of the Accounting Clerk.
- Responsible for customer invoicing / billings.
- Responsible for transacting the monthly financial processes, reporting and analyses, ensuring transactions are properly classified, and internal financial statements are reported in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain documented policies and procedures for all accounting operations and supports monitoring and continuous improvement of internal controls including process and policy design, accounting systems, recordkeeping, documentation, and overall effectiveness, in coordination with the Controller.
- Subsidiary accounting of intercompany transactions and the preparation of consolidated and entity specific financial reporting. Ensure all inter-company accounts for assigned entities are properly recorded and balanced on a periodic basis.
- Support the executive management team in the preparation of operating forecasts, budgets, or special reporting, as necessary, by collecting, critically analyzing, and consolidating financial data in conjunction with a deep understanding of historical financial information trends, and performance.
- Assist in providing documentation and review of external audit requests for the pension, ESOP, and year-end audits, while working directly with external auditors, in coordination with the Controller.
- Perform various administrative tasks, to include opening and distributing all Company mail, in coordination with the Accounting Clerk.
- File and organize office documentation.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
Required:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields; and/or equivalent work experience - preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – is a plus.

- Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
