What You'll Do:
The Bulk Truck Logistics Specialist position is responsible for managing all aspects of liquid bulk truck transport to and from Lubrizol plants, toll processors and third-party shipping facilities. This consists of transportation execution for support of the annual sales plan for Additives and Advanced Materials.
What We're Looking For:
- Serve as main contact for bulk truck carrier escalation issues.
- Lead quarterly core carrier meetings; monitor KPIs including HSES metrics.
- Optimize leased trailer fleet sizing and dedicated capacity.
- Coordinate bulk truck transport for special requests, campaigns, and short-term leases.
- Regularly engage with Lubrizol Additives and Advanced Materials facilities on bulk truck issues and service disruptions.
- Support Bulk Truck Logistics Procurement in carrier selection.
- Reduce detention by reporting to Supply Planning and reviewing potential charges.
- Manage customer-caused detention invoice reviews and debit bill-back process.
- Participate in Operations and Supply Planning meetings.
- Oversee post-PGI product requirements (e.g., steaming, heel disposition).
- Assist with coding bulk truck invoices for payment.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; extensive relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience in bulk truck operations and procurement preferred
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills for regular interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP Transportation Management experience is a plus.
- Enthusiastic, diplomatic, and skilled in problem-solving and strategic thinking.
- Experience in production scheduling, transportation industry, and carrier management is highly desirable.
