In this exciting junior level role, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain; driving performance, enhancing customer service, and optimising production planning. From day one, you’ll gain broad exposure across the entire supply operation, collaborating with key teams including Demand Planning, MRP, Customer Services, and site operations.

Your mission? To keep things moving smoothly and smartly—balancing customer needs, inventory levels, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting tactical decisions and navigating the challenges of a dynamic supply landscape.

This is a proactive, high-impact role based at our vibrant Global Head Office in Chiswick Park, where innovation and collaboration thrive.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Plan & Schedule Production: Convert short-term plans into efficient factory schedules that balance line performance with customer service, supporting a 98% inbound service level.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Customer Service, Demand Planning, and site teams to manage stock levels, prevent shortages, and minimise waste and downtime.
  • Optimise Inventory & Reduce Waste: Use analytics to avoid overproduction, eliminate dead stock, and set optimal safety stock levels to reduce clearance and scrap.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify non-value-adding SKUs for rationalisation and contribute to monthly planning meetings to ensure future capacity aligns with market demand.
  • Maintain Planning Accuracy & Flexibility: Own and update planning documentation, ensure master data integrity, support automation, and build capability through multi-skilling and site collaboration.

Bring your experience

Essential

  • A good understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Confident IT skills, especially in Excel—comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to manage your own workload while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to develop strong plans and identify key levers for driving profitable growth.

Desirable

  • Proven experience in an FMCG or retail environment—ideally with exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • We also welcome applications from recent graduates who have a strong interest in supply chain and are eager to learn and grow in the field.

Working Pattern:

This role offers an agile 3,2 working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home/this role is based in the office 5 days a week.

As we try to reduce our carbon footprint and adapt our styles of working, pladis global’ s amazing head office in Chiswick Park offers great public transport links, agile working spaces, with both meeting and training rooms, as well as formal and informal workstations. The park also offers great restaurants and services for everything you need to suit your day. 

Parking within Chiswick Park is very limited needs to be booked in advance, we therefore recommend travelling via public transport.  

What will the interview process be?

  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
