About the Role:
Due to business growth we are actively recruiting for a Mobile Mechanic to join our growing fleet department based in Millbrook, Southampton. Performing routine and emergency vehicle repairs on-site. Responsibilities encompass diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring optimal vehicle functionality, all within a mobile service and Workshop based environment.
Location: Millbrook.
Salary: £18 p/h
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (47.5 Hours)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting mechanical inspections and diagnostic tests on mobile vehicles
- Performing maintenance and repair tasks on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components
- Identifying and repairing or replacing faulty parts and systems on mobile vehicles
- Providing customers with accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services
- Communicating effectively with customers to explain repair needs and recommendations
- Adhering to safety procedures and regulations while working on mobile vehicles
- Keeping abreast of industry developments and changes in vehicle technology
- Managing inventory of tools, equipment, and parts needed for mobile repairs
- Requirements:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive issues on various makes and models of vehicles
- Possess own set of tools and equipment needed for the job
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach job sites
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
- Relevant certification or degree in automotive technology is a plus
