Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Ryde Veterinary Clinic. In this role, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations of our clinic, assisting with a variety of nursing duties and ensuring exceptional patient care. We require a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse who is confident and skilled in clinical procedures, patient monitoring, and effective communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of treatments and medications as prescribed by the veterinarians

  • Provide outstanding patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting in surgeries, and delivering post-operative care

  • Carry out routine nursing tasks such as taking blood samples, placing IV catheters, and conducting diagnostic tests

  • Offer advice and guidance to pet owners regarding their pets’ care and treatment plans

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records

  • Support the veterinary team in managing the clinic’s daily operations

  • Ensure the clinic remains clean, organized, and meets the highest hygiene standards

  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to clients, demonstrating empathy when needed

Key Requirements:

  • Cert IV Qualified Veterinary Nurse

  • Proven experience in all aspects of veterinary nursing

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

  • Exceptional communication skills with both clients and colleagues

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities

  • Calm, compassionate, and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations

  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to various tasks
