The role..

We’re looking for a People Business Partner to join ITV on a permanent basis, supporting our Finance division and reporting directly to our Head of People.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, helping to develop and deliver strategic people plans that align with ITV’s ambitions. You’ll provide proactive, solutions-focused support across a broad range of people matters, championing inclusion, building line manager capability, and promoting a high-performance culture. You’ll also play a key role in implementing organisational change, handling employee relations issues, and driving continuous improvement across the People function.

Some of your key day-today responsibilities will include:

  • Develop strong ties with Finance chiefs and overseers, offering mentorship and support
  • Provide expert advice and challenge to support effective people management and decision-making.
  • Support the delivery of ITV’s People and D&I strategies, embedding a culture of inclusion and high performance.
  • Partner with the Head of People to build and implement strategic people plans aligned to ITV’s “More than TV” strategy.
  • Lead and support organisational design initiatives, restructures, and change projects.
  • Handle a range of employee relations matters, including sickness absence, performance, flexible working, and informal complaints.
  • Identify and handle operational risks, supporting compliance with ITV People policies and legal obligations.
  • Provide people data insights and reporting to influence business decisions.
  • Support or lead on People-related projects, frameworks, and policy development.
  • May line handle People Managers and contribute to the development of the wider People team.
  • Drive continuous improvement by working with Centres of Expertise to deliver a high-quality, professional service.
  • Stay up to date with employment law and HR standard processes.

 

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)...

  • Substantial experience in HR roles, ideally within a fast-paced, high-profile organisation
  • Ideally you'll have experience in working within a HR operating model utilising Centres of Excellence
  • Experience of providing a proactive HR service to senior leaders
  • Proven expertise in UK employment regulations and HR guidelines
  • Significant experience of delivering operational HR in a matrix environment
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions and other colleague representatives
  • Experience of organisational complexity and a matrix structure

  • Flexible in style to accommodate a variety of personalities, with the ability to adjust approach accordingly;
  • Committed, resilient, proactive and conscientious;
  • Ability to multitask, working independently or in a team;
  • Confident communicator adept at staying composed in challenging situations;
  • Takes accountability for their decisions and actions.
  • Excellent personal presence and impact
  • Ability to handle relationships to deliver both organisational and operational impacts of case management
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills that enable rapid establishment of rapport and trust with all colleagues
