Your Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, hands-on experience with microservices architecture, and exposure to modern containerization and messaging technologies. Prior experience in the investment banking domain and working in agile environments is highly desirable.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (Flask/Django).
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Work with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Kafka-based messaging solutions.
- Deploy and manage applications on Openshift or similar platforms.
- Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when needed.
- Apply computer science fundamentals and algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices (e.g., PEP8).
- Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Work on UNIX/Linux systems and understand system-level fundamentals.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Your Profile:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python, including backend development using Flask or Django.
- Proven ability to build REST APIs and work with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka and Openshift is a strong advantage.
- Basic front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computer science fundamentals.
- Knowledge of coding standards and best practices, especially PEP8.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Strong grasp of UNIX/Linux system fundamentals.
- Prior experience in investment banking and working in Agile environments with excellent communication skills.
