Life on the team

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to manage a team of Technicians working within our Maintenance Service Centre.

 

The team are responsible for the configuration of assets, applying customer images to devices, incident ticket delivery, and the repair and diagnostics of devices.

 

As the team Manager you are responsible for ensuring service quality, customer satisfaction and service efficiency, in addition to staff development, coaching and motivation within the team.

 

To be successful in the role you will be a great team leader, able to influence and drive performance in yourself and others, working in a high-pressure environment to tight deadlines and able to meet business objectives.

 

 

What you'll do

 

  • Acting as a role model and creating a trust-based, productive, working environment which is characterised by a positive team spirit.
  • Provide a high level of operational consultancy within the peer group, to internal clients and direct reports, if applicable.  
  • Line-management responsibility for the staff within his/her area of responsibility
  • A regular on-site presence is required to ensure regular personal contact with employees
  • Manages, develops, motivates and coaches team of staff to help ensure the delivery of the function and business targets and implements a performance management solution where required.
  • Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate. 
  • Responsible for managing controllable costs
  • Ensuring the achievement of benchmark KPIs and P&L targets set by the company
  • Prompt, values-based communication of the service strategy and current (service) issues, as well as of relevant company information within own area 
  • Ability to substitute for other Managers in relation to all matters
  • Close cooperation with internal stakeholders, maintain productive relationships and networks on management levels of the relevant internal operational interfaces
  • Responsible for compliance with the business rules and processes that apply to the division.
  • Responsible for the adoption of CC best practice.
