Job Description:
The Videographer role at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” and “Company”) is responsible for planning, shooting, and editing videos for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to, marketing, social media, internal communications, training, and store operations. The role has a strong understanding of videography principles and techniques, as well as experience with video editing and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot high-quality video footage using a variety of cameras and equipment and deliver videos to OSJ departments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest videography trends and technologies.
- Conceptualize, film, and edit video content specifically designed to drive engagement and growth on social media platforms, aligning with brand strategy and marketing campaigns.
- Produce captivating images and videos showcasing OSJL products, real estate, store interiors, associates, leadership, and customers.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to craft innovative concepts, shot plans, and storyboards for photo and video productions.
- Manage and operate Company photography and videography gear to ensure that it remains in peak condition for shooting.
- Enhance the quality, uniformity, and visual appeal of photos and videos through skillful editing, retouching, and adding graphics, music and other effects.
- Plan and coordinate video shoots with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and manage a digital repository for all visual content.
- Contribute inventive ideas and insights to enrich the visual storytelling of OSJL’s projects.
- Assist in various marketing activities, encompassing content creation, optimization, advertising, and event planning, working closely with Marketing and cross-functional teams to bolster brand recognition and promotional efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Filmmaking, Video Production, or Digital Media, is required.
- 3 or more years of experience as a videographer is required.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation, social media video marketing, and live streaming is preferred.
- Strong portfolio of video work.
- Experience with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
Work Environment:
- Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
potential. - Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
- While primarily an on-site role, this role should expect to travel 5-10% of the time. This travel is to a mix of local offsite sites and long-distance assignments on occasion.

The annual salary range for this position is between $58,000 - $72,000. Salary commensurates with years of experience.
