Job Title: Receiving Coordinator

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Department: Manufacturing

Location: 808 Timberlake Road, Fairmont, MN 56031   *This is a part-time position (20–25 hours per week) and is benefit-eligible. 


Position Summary: Receives inbound shipments and verifies conformance of parts received and count.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives incoming materials, distributes materials to appropriate assembly people at the direction of the production supervisor.
  • Examines inventory counts and notifies Materials Coordinator of shortages. Also assist with Inventory cycle counts.
  • Assists with compiling and maintaining records such as material inventory, and status and location of materials
  • Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to purchase order specifications.  
  • Moves or transports materials from one department to another. Performs in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. 
  • Arranges for proper handling of RMA (materials being returned for repair or warranty)
  • May assist with shipping material/product (Packs, seals, labels, and affixes postage to prepare materials for shipping) Will use work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
  • Assist with maintaining good housekeeping in the inventory storage area.
  • Operates forklift for inbound and outbound freight.
  • Assembles minor mechanical assemblies.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, word processing software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.
 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Math Ability: Ability to calculate and use basic math such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, basic algebra and geometry, and applying discounts.
 

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and Forklift Certification


Travel: Travel is not a regular part of this position

Much of the day is spent on their feet lifting and moving materials.
