The Environmental and Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all maintenance and housekeeping team members while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests and team members.
About Us: Ecumen Prairie Hill and Ecumen Sand Prairie in St Peter, MN are hiring a Environmental Supervisor. Ecumen Sand Prairie consists of 42 assisted living rental apartment homes, and Ecumen Prairie Hill consists of 43 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 20 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services. Schedule: Monday - Friday typical business hours. On Call and Leader on Duty rotation included.
Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $63,000 - $80,000 per year. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and supervise maintenance and housekeeping team members
Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate outside contractors
Manage department budget and supply inventory
Ensure the community meets all safety and regulatory standards
Develop and maintain maintenance and safety programs
Perform routine maintenance and repairs
Train team members on building safety procedures
Support daily operations and take on additional duties as needed
Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver’s License Required
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Boiler operator’s license in states where one is required, at the minimum horsepower class as designated by the governing state for the boilers on site or eligible within 6 months of hire
- Previous maintenance experience
- Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical college
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience working in a senior care environment
A valid Minnesota Special Engineers Boiler License is needed for this role, but it's not required to apply. If you don’t currently hold one, that’s okay, you’ll just need to obtain it within six months of hire. We'll support you through the process including covering the cost of training and the licensing exam.
