THE RAIL CRAFT KITCHEN & BAR is seeking a GRILL MASTER/KITCHEN SUPERVISOR to join our team in Strongsville, OH!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
As a talented, passionate, and creative Grill Master/Kitchen Supervisor you will use your experience to assist a successful kitchen. You’ll also work alongside the kitchen staff team, overseeing kitchen safety and sanitation, rotation and storage of product, and efficient receiving. The kitchen supervisors plays a crucial role in helping the team deliver an exceptional experience to each and every guest. Your culinary training and experience, strong organizational skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail will contribute to delivering perfection on every plate that leaves the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining knowledge of menu items to ensure every build meets specs and expectations for quality, portion, presentation, and food costs.
- Setting an example for the kitchen staff, sharing inspiration and ideas with them daily to teach and keep energy high.
- Stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Assists in the training of new staff.
- Key role in setting up and tearing down the line for service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure timely and seamless delivery of orders.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Understands and ensures self and team adhere to all food safety regulations.
- Maintain close relationships with local vendors, purveyors, etc.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a high volume kitchen is preferred.
- 1-2 years in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
- Flexibility to work full-time evenings, weekends, and holidays (Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
