Staff Accountant | Finance presso Beta

BETA Technologies is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Finance Team.  This is a unique opportunity to join a team with a great company culture and excellent professional support. The Accountant should be a self-starter in nature who takes initiative and identifies areas of process improvement all while embracing a team-centric mentality. The incumbent will contribute by preparing and maintaining important financial reports, creating journal entries, and reconciling accounts. Our Accountant will assist the finance team with other ad hoc projects and help Beta run efficiently.



How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

Prepare and post Journal Entries

Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts monthly

Prepare and analyze financial statements along with month-end analysis

Calculation and/or review of indirect rates

Creation of accounting memos

Document policies and procedures

Prepare workpapers for auditors

Back-up other accountants as needed

Assist in office management responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;

2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Must have experience in financial statement preparation

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel

Strong analytical and presentation skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

CPA license

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principle’s (GAAP)

Understanding of Sarbanes’s Oxley (SOX) requirements
