Position Responsibilities 
  • Performs Configuration Management (CM) tasks to track and control software changes and SAFe/Agile artifacts. 
  • Maintains version control on source code, baselines, and supporting documentation across all releases. 
  • Develops, recommends, and enforces effective CM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with customer and program requirements. 
  • Documents and improves CM processes to aid development, testing, and operations teams. 
  • Ensures compliance with DoD/IC or agency-specific CM standards, including data integrity, audit readiness, and configuration status accounting. 
  • Creates, maintains, and audits Configuration Management Plans (CMP), Build Books, Release Notes, and associated artifacts. 
  • Supports Change Control Boards (CCB) and related governance activities, preparing packages and documenting decisions. 
  • Monitors and controls quality by gathering, analyzing, and reporting on CM metrics. 
  • Administers and supports CM/DevOps tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Subversion, Jenkins, or similar. 
  • Coordinates with developers, testers, system administrators, and program management to ensure proper implementation of changes across environments. 
  • Ensures traceability of requirements through development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Provides support during audits, system reviews, and program milestones to validate compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. 
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with government and contract personnel in both agile and traditional acquisition environments. 
  • Team player, handling other duties as assigned. 
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 1-5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. 
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks. 
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing baselines, version control, and release management in large or complex environments. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools and technologies (e.g., SharePoint, Project, Office Suite, Outlook). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with DoD 5000, NIST, CMMI, or ISO standards related to Configuration Management. 
  • Experience with CM/DevSecOps tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, Confluence). 
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud) and related CM considerations. 
  • Prior experience supporting Federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community programs. 
  • ITIL, SAFe, or PMP certification is a plus.
