Your Role

You’ll handle substantive cases from the outset, shaping litigation strategy, managing discovery, and preparing for trial—with the backing of a seasoned team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own docket with support from paralegals and clerks
• Collaborate with partners on strategy, motions, and trial prep
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, complex pleadings, and Daubert challenges
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare privilege logs
• Represent clients in state and federal courts—argue motions, assist at trial, and negotiate resolutions
• Leverage AI tools, Westlaw, and O’Connor’s to streamline litigation workflows
• Contribute to firm development through marketing, CLE, and outreach

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
• 1–4 years of civil litigation experience, including written discovery
• Experience taking or defending at least two depositions
• Familiarity with Texas civil procedure and courtroom practice
• Tech proficiency (Casepeer, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat) and interest in AI

Preferred

• Background in commercial litigation
• Trial or courtroom experience (first or second chair)
• Strong communication, initiative, and leadership potential
• Entrepreneurial mindset or business development interest

• Compensation DOE: $100,000–$150,000 base
