Primary Accountability
The PACE Receptionist supports efficient patient flow and registration duties while performing various support functions.

- Greets and welcomes PACE participants and visitors.
- Responsible for performing administrative functions for the FHCN PACE Center.
- Performs clerical functions, including correspondence, typing, filing, copying, disseminating mail, handling incoming calls, and ordering supplies.
- Assign and track Wanderguard wristbands to participants and monitor safeguard alarms while the FHCN PACE Center is open.
- Responsible for supporting and monitoring patient flow.
- Scrubs appointments in advance to ensure the necessary information is available for patient visits.
- Assists in the distribution of patients, including walk-ins or same-day visits.
- Makes appropriate assessments of patient's health needs, including taking temperature, collecting symptoms, etc.
- Keeps patients informed of wait times and ensures patients are appropriately flowed into the system.
- Schedules patient appointments.
- Responsible for performing various aspects of patient visits during check-in.
- Collects accurate demographics and insurance eligibility information.
- Registers new and established patients according to expected workflows.
- Ensures forms and insurance cards/eligibility are scanned and indexed appropriately and timely.
- Ensure documents within e-fax folders are addressed.
- Responsible for obtaining medical record releases and processing medical record requests.
- Performs documentation in the patient’s electronic health record according to policy and training.

Description of Primary Attributes
Professional & Technical Knowledge:
- Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical, technical, or healthcare-related knowledge frequently acquired through a trade school, para-professional, or certificate-type program.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs, and other elements.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to review and compile data, including formulas, functions, lookup tables, and other standard spreadsheet elements.
- Ability to create introductory presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Licenses & Certifications:
- A valid California driver’s license is required.
Communications Skills:
- Job duties require compiling information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles, or other documentation.
- Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences.

Pay Scale:
Min Hourly Rate: $21.25
Max Hourly Rate: $29.33
