IES Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect with deep expertise in Customer Engagement (CE). This role will own the end-to-end solution architecture, design, and optimization of CE modules within our enterprise-wide D365 platform. The Solution Architect will ensure that CE capabilities—including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Field Service—are designed to align with business strategy, integrated with enterprise systems, and scalable for long-term growth.
The right candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on technical expertise, able to bridge business needs and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Strategy
- Lead the overall architecture design for Dynamics 365 CE modules (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service, Project Service).
- Translate business requirements into scalable and secure CE solution designs.
- Develop and maintain CE-specific architectural documentation, data models, and integration maps.
- Establish governance, configuration standards, and development best practices specific to CE.
Implementation Leadership
- Drive the successful implementation and rollout of CE modules across business units.
- Provide hands-on guidance for CE solution configuration, workflows, Power Platform extensions, and integrations.
- Ensure solutions align with Microsoft best practices and compliance requirements.
Integration & Optimization
- Design and implement integrations between CE and third-party applications (ERP, HR, WMS, data analytics platforms, etc.).
- Optimize CE system performance, data quality, and usability to improve user adoption and business outcomes.
- Oversee CE-related change management for platform updates and enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
- Partner with business leaders to align CE technology roadmaps with customer engagement goals.
- Collaborate with IT and operations to deliver cross-functional solutions.
- Present CE solution recommendations to stakeholders and executives.
- Provide training and mentorship to business users, technical staff, and project teams.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE roadmap, emerging features, and ecosystem developments.
- Evaluate new Power Platform and CE capabilities for potential adoption.
- Contribute to broader enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
Specific Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience with at least 3 full-cycle CE implementations as a Solution Architect.
- Strong background in Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and/or Field Service modules.
- Experience integrating CE with F&O, SCM, or other enterprise systems a plus.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or field services preferred.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE modules and functionality.
- Strong expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Experience with Azure services, APIs, and data connectors for integration.
- Proficient in designing CE security roles, business process flows, and automation.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to explain complex solutions simply.
- Ability to collaborate across business functions.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
