Full-Time Seasonal $17.00 per hour 40 hours per week
To receive and provide data and information from/to customers within the Greater Meriden area for all energy assistance type programs. customers , verify information determine eligibility for all energy assistance type programs. To assist in facilitating program enrollment through out reach efforts and data entry at various community locations. To be flexible, as this position requires non-traditional hours .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be a liaison in the community by attending various fundraising, festive, and informative events, which results in a better delivery of service, more community needs being met, and a good community rapport. To provide outreach services to the Greater Meriden community, which will increase the Agency’s ability to meet the needs of a greater percentage of individuals and households in the community. This is accomplished by going to senior centers, distributing information in various places, and various kinds of communication.
To accurately input data and other pertinent information into the computer, verify input, and submit as directed, which results in timely completion of applications, reports, and services to the community. The inputting, reviewing, completion and submission of data on a daily basis are what accomplish this.
To advocate and/or mediate utility services on clients/customers behalf, which results in reduced monthly arrangements, reconnection of services, or more households being placed in forgiveness and matching payment plans.
To prepare monthly statistics for reports when necessary, which results in the timely submission of reports to the proper people and sources. Collecting data on a daily and weekly basis is what accomplishes this task.
To assume other job tasks and functions within the Department as needed, which results in a continued effort to provide community services and timely submission of data and reports. When this occurs directions are given from the supervisor on an as-needed basis to accomplish these tasks.
To perform other Agency related activities as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Must have at least 2 years of experience in community related activities, and some experience in computer data entry.
Ability to Multitask, Interpersonal skills,
Oral and written communications and Computer knowledge
Valid Driver’s license and transportation to community intake sites
