In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies is seeking an experienced Citrix System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will manage, support, and optimize our Citrix and Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance across our expansive data center and network infrastructure. *This position will require someone to work onsite in Durham, North Carolina 5 days a week.*

What You'll Do:

• Citrix System Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain Citrix environments including XenDesktop, XenApp, Citrix Provisioning (PVS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve Citrix-related issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Develop and implement system backup and restore procedures for critical Citrix systems.
• Windows Server Administration:
• Manage and maintain Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, or higher, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and system updates.
• Implement best practices in security, performance tuning, and data backups.
• Virtualization Technologies:
• Utilize vCenter to monitor and manage virtualized Windows environments.
• Provide root cause analysis for system issues, offering detailed documentation and recommendations.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or XenServer is a plus.
• Network and Citrix Traffic Management:
• Manage Citrix Access Gateway, optimizing WAN traffic and routing protocols.
• Collaborate with network teams to ensure secure and efficient Citrix communication across the enterprise.
• Future Technologies and Infrastructure Management:
• Participate in managing our expansive data center and associated network and application infrastructure.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to their integration into our environment.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Work collaboratively within a team environment to solve complex technical issues.
• Maintain clear, concise technical documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Citrix technologies and Windows Server.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as vCenter.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, Citrix Access Gateway, and printing solutions within Citrix environments.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Availability:
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. (Please note: Details regarding frequency and duration will be provided during the interview process.)

Abilities:

• Experience with managing expansive data centers and associated network and application infrastructure.
• Familiarity with VMware, or XenServer virtualization technologies.
• Proficient in Citrix technologies and Windows Server administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with complex technical issues.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and network traffic management.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.

Nice to Haves:

• Microsoft and Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, CCA-Networking) are highly desirable.

Salary Range:

• Salary range is $110,000-130,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
