What You Will Do:
- The Occupational Therapist evaluates, treats, records, and reports the patient’s
progress information and communicates with the physician and hospital staff. The
Occupational Therapist must be able to organize and facilitate treatment techniques and
the application of all occupational therapy modalities. - Evaluates and plans appropriate treatment plans according to patient needs
- Recognizes change in patient’s progress and health and changes the plan of care
accordingly - Recommends changes in patients’ work or living environments consistent with their
needs and capabilities - Instructs patients and families in home programs, basic living skills and care and use
of adaptive equipment - Knowledgeable of available test materials and therapeutic techniques
- A thorough case history, functional status, problems and goals are measurable and
time framed, treatment plan and rehab potential are documented - Maintains appropriate documentation which meets the standards and requirements of
the department, The Joint Commission, Center of Medicare Services, and American
Occupational Therapy Association. - Presents clear, concise, organized information exchanges and interactions

What You Will Need:
- Master’s degree from a program accredited by the ACOTE.
- Licensure in the state of Ohio or license eligible. Registration nationally through the professional association (NBCOT).
- Previous clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Current CPR Certification.
- FOM (Functional Outcome Measures) certification preferred.
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
- Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of new research and practices in the field so as to provide the patients the best possible care and treatment.
- Successful completion of a 90 day probationary period.
