Approximately 60-80% of the role will be dedicated to teaching, with the remaining time allocated to scholarly activities, service, and professional development.%3C/span%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3E%3Cstrong%3EKey Duties Include:%3C/strong%3E%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3ETeaching preclinical and clinical courses in restorative dentistry, with a focus on operative dentistry for DDS students.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EServing as course director and instructor for one or more core or elective courses, including course development and student mentoring.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3ESupporting student learning, development, and decision-making to promote academic success and well-being.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3ECollaborating with faculty to enhance teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EParticipating in scholarly activities within and beyond the department.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EEngaging in departmental, school, and university committees, meetings, and community service.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EMaintaining a professional development plan that includes research or other scholarly pursuits.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EConducting or contributing to dental research initiatives.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3ESupervising undergraduate or graduate student research projects as needed.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EDemonstrating innovation in curriculum development and/or continuing education.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EContributing to the professional community through peer review, grant panels, and participation in national/international conferences.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EExhibiting strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills, with a clear commitment to teaching and scholarship.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EResponding to assignments from the Chair of Comprehensive Dentistry and the Dean of the School of Dentistry to support departmental and school operations.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cspan style=%22font-family:Times New Roman;%22%3EDemonstrating teamwork in planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.%3C/span%3E%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E

Hiring range: $135,000 - $165,000 per year (depending on academic rank and commensurate with education and experience).
