Saint Ignatius High School Additional Information: Show/Hide - General maintenance & upkeep of multiple building sites. This includes some exterior duties as well as interior building duties.
- Identify potential maintenance issues and bring them to the attention of your immediate Supervisor.
- Routine floor maintenance, including shampooing rugs, carpet, mopping, waxing and buffing floors.
- Maintaining site landscaping; lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf and irrigation.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws and shovels efficiently.
- Operating and maintaining trucks and power tools.
- Keeping grounds free from trash, litter and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Removing snow by using a shovel, plow or snow blower.
- Sweeps, mops, wet-washes, and vacuums floors and stairwells in assigned area.
- Uses power scrubbers, extractors, floor machines, lawnmowers, weed-wackers, snow blowers, and all other equipment needed to perform job responsibilities as directed.
- Replaces lights that are not operating and informs the supervisor of any lighting problems.
- Moves furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- May clean up water/debris due to leaks and floods.
- Interact with campus event coordinators to complete all event setups and breakdowns for special events, sports, and recreation activities.
- Provide customer service to all visitors, students, faculty, staff, and event sponsors
- Perform general cleaning of common areas, during and after events, as needed.
- Oversee in-school mail or package deliveries.
- Reports to supervisor any acts of vandalism, deliberate littering, or equipment failures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- Ability to walk, climb extended ladders, stretch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to operate a computer, check email and perform research for work-related items.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute written plans and directions.

Position Profile: 2nd Shift Facilities, Grounds and Events Associate
About the Position: Saint Ignatius High School, a highly successful Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an energetic Facilities, Grounds, and Events Associate to work with our Campus Operations team to maintain the upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a hard-working, meticulous work ethic along with a positive, customer service attitude. A successful candidate will ensure that the facilities are properly functioning at all times and perform general maintenance & upkeep of multiple building sites. This includes some exterior duties as well as interior building duties. This full-time 2nd shift, non-exempt, year-round position reports to the Facilities, Grounds & Events Supervisor.

About Saint Ignatius High School:
Saint Ignatius High School, which opened its doors September 6, 1886, is a Jesuit college-preparatory school. The school enrolls more than 1,400 young men who hail from 92 cities in an 11-county region. Located in close proximity to downtown Cleveland in the vibrant and energetic Ohio City neighborhood, the school occupies 23 acres and includes 19 buildings and three athletic fields.
