Are you an experienced Document Controller looking to make a real impact on Tasmania’s infrastructure? UGL, as part of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO), is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our dynamic team based in Moonah, Hobart.

The Role

As a Document Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing technical documentation and drawings across major water and power infrastructure projects. You’ll ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and support the smooth flow of information across project teams, clients, and stakeholders.

You’ll be part of a collaborative alliance between TasWater, UGL, CPB Contractors, and WSP Australia, delivering a $1.1 billion capital works program across Tasmania.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the identification, registration, distribution, and archiving of all project documentation.

  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure all revisions are accurately tracked and marked.

  • Support the setup and maintenance of document control systems, including hard copy and digital libraries.

  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure timely document flow.

  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures and ISO standards.

  • Assist with the compilation of Manufacturer Data Reports (MDRs) and project close-out documentation.

  • Facilitate the transfer of program records to the client.

About You

You’re a confident communicator and a natural organiser with a strong eye for detail. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable working with technical teams and documentation.

  • Proven experience in a document control role, ideally within construction or infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and understanding of naming conventions.

  • Experience with ACONEX.

  • Familiarity with systems such as Lotus Notes, eDocs, and QDMS.

  • Strong understanding of document control fundamentals and ISO 9001:2015.
